Delano Bay Camp - Main Lodge

Welcome to the website of the Delano Bay Christian Camp. We would like for this website to be useful tool for guests who are looking for a place for christians to  fellowship as well a resource for our existing users of our facility. If you are a visitor to our site, feel free to browse through the site. It is also our hope that we can share some of the warmth, love, and compassion that Christ has shown for us with everyone with whom we come in contact.

We sincerely appreciate your worshiping with us. We pray that our assemblies will bless and encourage you. We also hope that you will want to return.

Delano Bay Christian Camp provides the setting for programs whereby youth and adults are influenced by the message of Jesus Christ toward life changing decisions.  Delano Bay Christian Camp offers summer camps for all ages plus is available for retreats throughout the entire year. It’s a beautiful camp located 14 – 15 miles south of Purdy, WA on the Key Peninsula.

Sam and Marlene Grandberg purchased land to be used as a camp for the spiritual growth and pleasure of Christians in the Pudget Sound area. They donated the property to the South Pudget Sound Churches of Christ in 1978. Church volunteers cleared and helped construct buildings for Delano Bay Christian Camp. Hundreds of children, first grade through high school, enjoy the weekly summer camp sessions. Since 1978 thousands of children and adults enjoyed the facility mostly during the summer. The camp is open and available to Christians and other recognized non-profit organizations for example the Boys Scouts of America and use the camp site throughout the year.

One of the many groups that visit every year is the Sojourners. At Delano Bay Christian Camp, the Sojourners relax and do work projects and fellowship. Every year for the past ten years these "retired" Christian brothers and sisters have come to Delano and helped to improve the facility, working on projects like building the gazebo, repairing the barn, painting the lodge and several cabins, and clean up in general.

Delano Bay Christian Camp is the result of a priceless gift and Gods grace, prayers, dreams and numberless hours of works of love. The camp consists of the Main Cabin that houses an industrial kitchen, dining area, classrooms and living quarters for camp staff. The Camp site consists of a boy’s and girl’s dorm that houses all the children, teens and other staff members. Five Cabins on the beach front with a view on the bay and Mount Rainier in the distance rounds off this stunning facility located on the Key Peninsula facing Henderson Bay.
