We believe and affirm that God offers redemption and restoration to all who seek his mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ (Acts 2:36-39, Romans 10:9-11, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11).

We believe and affirm that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity (Mark 12:28-31).  Hateful, discriminatory and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are not in accord with Scripture nor the principles of DBCC.  Such actions will not be tolerated.

We believe and affirm that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female, and that these two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God (Genesis 1:26-28). We believe and affirm that God created marriage to be exclusively the union of one man and one woman, and that intimate sexual activity is to occur exclusively within that union (Genesis 2:18-25).

We believe and affirm the standard of morality found in Scripture (e.g. Galatians 5:22-23), to be something that will enhance the experience of all participants at DBCC.  While emphasizing these virtues, we maintain the importance of avoiding the sinful behaviors listed in Scripture (e.g. Galatians 5:19-21) when participating in activities at DBCC.

We believe and affirm that the function and integrity of DBCC as a ministry of the Puget Sound Area churches of Christ should be preserved and provide a biblical role model to all who enter the camp.  To this end all persons, employed, volunteers, and campers shall conduct themselves in a manner consistent with this statement.

This Statement of Christian Conduct does not exhaust the extent of The Board’s beliefs.  The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God, speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the conduct of the human family, is the sole and final source of all that we believe.
